After my business trip to Malaysia. Just fly straight up to the airport and went back HOME. Though me and my wife went back together we do have different agenda so we go separate ways..hehe.

She go happily enjoy the city life meeting with her friends, family and relatives. Malling, karaoke and chika to death.

I prefer the other way around.

What to do?

Go to arcades and enjoy kiddie rides.

Enjoy family dinner with my In-laws and the play with the kids.

Go for Long drive and visit Our Lady of Manaog. To light petition candles.

After my recent business trip to Melaka I was inspired by my colleague Lim KL to jailbreak my iTouch.

Gosh!!! Just made a huge mistake I forgot that i already upgraded my Firmware to 1.3 which obviously the Jailbreak is beaten by the Apple developer. Now i have to do it the hard way downgrade and upgrade. Though youtube is friendly still i having a hard time to get the Firmware 1.1 due to RapidShare restrictions. I already running 2 laptops still can't get the firmware.

Nevermind maybe i will just wait a little bit for them to jailbreak the 1.3. Instead on turning my head upside and down.

Merry Christmas!!! Since we did not manage to go home this Christmas. We set our plans just to have a nice diner and watch a movie. And take some pictures at Orchard.

This month i grew a lot of fats and calories, I think now its a good time to burn it using my new gadget Nike+plus and Ipod.

I just completed my first run. Running at Pasir Ris Park on the noon time. For starters here is my record:

Today is Standard Chartered Marathon 2007. I run the 10 km Men's division luckly i finished the race even without training.

Our "Ninang May" is in town. She is my wife's former boss. We all went out for a lunch at my wife's favorite japanese ramen.

And a chit-chat coffee afterwards.

Yup, its my birthday. But my birthday plans has been scrap out because of our project's UAT. But still there are things to be happy about like:

- I still have my hair though most of them are getting gray.
- My belly is still ok; I can still tie my shoe.
- Some of my friends, in laws from my hometown and family still remembers it.
"My father manage to call me on his busy schedule".
- My Flat mates bought me a nike football jersey. I am a Nike fan by the way.
- And my wife bought me a "Manfrotto" and a pair of sneakers which is in my wish list.

For a simple celebration. We just eat diner and sing in the karaoke. I didn't manage to invite and prepare because all schedules are tentative. Sorry Guys!!! Anyway Christmas is coming soon by the way.

We arrived from Phuket Airport.

"PHUKET AIRPORT"

Then we go straight to our hotel at "Baan Sukohotai Hotel" at Patong Beach.Outside the hotel is the Red light district where the place is pack with Bar, Girls and Gays. But still okey because it's safe and very convenient to the shops and food place.

Then the next morning we go for Island Hopping. Oh this was so crazy because we have to ride the Speed boat the whole day just to reach each Islands Maya Bay, Phi Phi and Khai Island. The weather is bad with big waves along our way and the scary part is the wind is strong too, with a stop and go rain fall.

But still Phuket Island has a lot to offer. Here are the famous place where Leonardo de Carpio Shoot his movie "The Beach" if you don't know him just take a look at me. "Looks almost the same"...hehe

"My wife is so upset to feed the monkeys coz we are out numbered by the our fellow tourist". Then we have our lunch at the Phi Phi beach resort and takes some pictures.

The next stop is go to "Khai Nok Island" for another 2 hours boating again. If you like Sun Bathing this is the place to be but the problem there is no sun for this day..

Now the whether is getting bad and waves are getting stronger. So we went back again to camp.

After my trip to Malaysia our company joined an invitation for a marathon. It started on a bad day when i woke up late so I rush and take a cab to the Esplande Bridge.

Of course I had finished the marathon at exactly 52 mins 30 seconds for "6KM of run". Now here is the verdict :

I was suppose to run for 12KM due to my heavy stomach because of Jason's overwhelming hospitality and appetite for drinking and eating escapades from my trip to Melaka. When I saw the split to 6KM i just went there and mingle with the crowd so it would not be obvious.

Shame on me..hehe

This is the "La Famosa" the oldest church can be found in Malacca.. A.K.A "red house" its obvious because its colored red..hehe

I am so happy today for I managed to finish two games which i had been playing for the past 3 weeks.

Prince of Persia Rival Sword

This game really rocks really meant for hardcore gamers. You need a lot of skills to analyze on how to defeat the big bosses and awesome walkthroughs will keep you puzzling up to the end of the game.

This game is action pack shooting game. Though the storyline is quite short. For me its just quite okey.

Me and my collegue went to Melaka Malaysia for a week as part of the project here called "FOOD TRIP". Eat everything...joke.

We stay at the Bayview hotel which i cannot see the bay as well. Stupid building blocking the nice view.

Yet still i got a cozy room.

And everyday heavy breakfast

Anyway the city just small but rich in culture so we spend most of our time in the office after that, Then we go "MAKAN" (eat) lah...

DAY 1 Monday: For day 1 dinner time, Jason brings us to the famous food shops here.

Today is Singapore's National Day since its a holiday I go for the little adventure.

The show will start at 6:00 pm I went to the Bridge to have a good view of the parade since the show is done on a floating platform with limited seats. Now here are the verdict.

The photography corner is so damn pack you can see the police unable to manage the human traffic. They didn't close the road so everybody is on the sidewalk exchanging various of smell, sweat and everybody wants a space..hehe

Now i have to improvise a plan B my second option is to go to the park at least i can see the fireworks. After 40 mins of squeezing my way out. I got into the park

Oh, Common everybody though of this as well. At least i had a little bit of room to play.

At least Singaporeans are well disciplined when they are requested to sit, everybody sits except foreigners of course...hehe

It's almost 7pm I timed it right the day before that this time the sky will turn blue now its up to me to make some shots..

I shot this at our backyard where you can see an overlooking view of a Pier with the lights reflecting the sea and touch of the colorful sky makes a fresh start of the day. Now here is the catch.

I wake up 5:30 AM pack my bag and my camera. I stroll around the Pasir Ris park beach just to find a perfect view. Now its almost 6:15 where the early light will paint the sky.

When i took out my camera and aim at the subject. OMG!! i only made 2 shots 1 was too blur because of the morning mist. The second one was this. And as i make my third shot the battery run out. I forgot to charge the battery..Grr... that really mess out my day.

Lesson learn: Dont forget the battery before going OUT THERE..

After watching Aperture video tutorials; finally I have been motivated to arrange my Digital Photo Albums. Transfer my existing iPhoto to Aperture library. It's a very smart move by the way.

Now I am so obsessed I cant stop; I even put keywords, stacks, meta file tags, sort albums, projects, publishing ideas and even rate them one by one. OMG!! more sleepless nights for me.

I just finished installing my Aperture 1.5 version. Took me a lot of research to make this run on my Macbook. Though the effort is not a waste..hehe

Now i can clean the pictures after the shot up to the tiniest details like the profesional Digital Photographers do.

Work around with colors fixed over exposures, lighting and add effects (Oh! i havent go to that part yet..)

Anyway, I had a long way to go...

Since the price of RAM had a big dive sale on the market today. A 1GB of my MAC memory will cost around 300SGD just dives down to 148 SGD starting last week. Wow!!! So straight away I buy without hesitation.

Now I can install my Aperture Software for my digital darkroom.

OMG!! still not enough to run on my Macbook...Grr grrrr!!!! Still i cannot meet the minimum requirements. (By the way my PC is already an Intel Core Duo 2 with 1.25 GB of RAM).

For a day i had been assign to visit our site in Malacca Malaysia. It's cool eventhough the trip was damn long from here (Singapore) i need to travel 4 hours drive good thing is i am just sitting behind the limousine.

The hi-way is a long stretch of plum trees up to the factory. The driver told me that Melaka is one of the top exporters of Cooking oil came from them plum trees. I do some snap some shots while im on the backseat just want to share my experience.

Melaka billboard says " Autocity" yes maybe just because they have a lot of PROTON and PRUDU cars their own cars selling on the cheap price.

Chinese New Year is just a few days away before the long weekend celebration. We had department lunch off course just on our NO CHOICE Canteen.. This is a place where people only eat if you have no Choice e.g. Heavy rain can't go out-side, Stranded for a night or FREE.. just like this lunchtime.

The lunch started with a prosperity "Yu sheng" where you will toss a salad using your Chopsticks. The look like this..

Too bad after you toss it you have to eat.. Yuck!!! Up to now im still figuring what is taste like.

Anyway hope i will get prosperous this coming CNY..

A busy weekend just pass by.This day we go to Orchard to send money to my bills and shop around the corner to buy some "Pasalubong" for our up coming vacation back in my hometown.

Well it's good way of releasing out the stress and unwinding up a little bit.
After a long queue to the counter, walk and human traffic. I feel so exhausted as i sat down by the sofa.

Im still wondering where do women get all the energy in terms of shopping. It seems while im so exhausted my wife has just starting to heat up... hehe

After office right after I ate diner with my wife. We decided to go for a night swimming to burn some calories.

We started around 8:00 pm after of few laps I feel so happy because for the first time I can beat my wife on our swimming race...hehe

Its almost 9:00 pm the water is getting cold so we get out of the pool to dry when all of the sudden I went back to practice my threading.

For some reasons i loose control, for 45 seconds I was struggling in the water my wife thought I was just playing around. Catching up breath then going under simultaneously. There I drank to much water, my heart stops and I can't see a damn thing.

Then I manage to shout for help. I thought it was my end as i nearly lost my consciousness. Then my wife paniced and jump off to my rescue and try to push me to the swimming pool side. But i almost drown her also due to my un-intentional struggle to pool side.

As I was regaining my strength I went back to the few days of my life looking for a sign why I "ALMOST DIE".

Sign 1: We just applied OWWA Membership then I told my wife 3 times what ever happened to me just go here and claim money. I put you as my beneficiary.

Sign 2: I won a DEATH CLAIM Insurance from AIG valid for 3 months. I wasn't imagining to use this but it almost happen.

Anyway, The good thing is I can start a new life again. I just felt I was reborn..

Thank God!!! And thank you for reading my story.

It's a kick-off a new year though i don't got a chance to celebrate the holiday. I decided to take things seriously now. Arrange everything, systematize, think my priorities straight, prepare for the future and make progress.

Starting with the following:

- Since my Canadian Immigrant Visa is still on queue we decided to apply Permanent Residency here in Singapore.

Acknowledgement card im just waiting for the approval in 1-3 months time.

- Apply for an OFW membership since i was working abroad this will save me from paying extra charges on the airport.

- For my photography I bought some magazines to keep me updated and help me learn to build my Photography System. Once done I will build my system just want to make sure I got the correct equipment and skill to do it.

- To lower my BMI (Body Mass Index) I need to jog on weekends and to monitor this activity I just installed a NIKE WIDGET.

We went to see the fireworks display at VIVO city. After digging in the good food and nice ambiance.

From the second floor deck we took some pictures while wondering what will be the fireworks like here in Singapore. As the clock ticks 12:00 we only see a Single flare gun shoot the fireworks display is on the other part of the city only. Hermes got the wrong info.

Shit what a waste of time and oppurtunity. Considering we had gone to far just to go there. And wait for hours for nothing. And on our way home a huge crowd piled up on the train station.

We haven't a chance to go home this Christmas for a lot of reasons. So we spend it here together with our friends we met here in Singapore of course we host the party.

We cooked pasta, buy cake, cocktail drinks and goodies. And Im in charge with the grill. The rain did not cooperate so it make it too difficult for me. Anyway I had it done on time just right time for the party.

We had a little exchange gift, games of course Hermes did great on the charades.

Well for the present i bought this for my wife since his mobile phone already retirede due to old age.

We just finished watching LOST after starting it last Saturday my wife and I watched the blockbuster TV Series Lost starting from the First season up to the Second for only 3 days of non-stop watching it on the laptop.

The Second Season was really a Cliffhanger can't wait for the third season based on my research will be showing this February 7, 2007.

Though the 3rd season poster has been launched I haven't seen any teasers yet.
Anyway the series was good and story line was great.

My eldest brother Jonjon just came here for a visit in Singapore while he is still on vacation from UAE.

He tried to find a suitable job here. Eventually the results where negative though he is qualified but the problem is the government here is so strict about giving away the working visas for non-IT professionals..hmmm very discreminating.

At least he can still get back to UAE after Christmas still another hard lessons for him and my family. But that is life still we have to move on. So before he go i just took some pictures of him at the heart of the city. Raffles City.

After my 6 months stay here in Singapore this is my first time to Sentosa of course with my mother and in-laws. We had a great fun an excitement. The ambiance is good though you have to pay for every attraction it still worth going for. Below are some snapshots I on how it look and feels like to be there.

After our duck tour i brought them to the world's largerst fountain of wealth. From there you can make a properous wish.

Many believe that this fountain can make your wish come true by circling around on the fountain's core 3-times, dipping right hand on water while making a silent wish.

It's obvious that we believe it too for have nothing to loose on trying..

Duck Tour

My mother and in-laws just arrived yesterday. Today we started to show them around Singapore. First day route is we go ride for a duck tour.

The day started with a little bit of shopping at City Hall and afterwards the duck tour (its an amphbian boat can travel by land and sea). The tour was great you learned a little bit of Singapore history and landscape of the city.

Behind them is the duck ampebian boat- DARLENE!!

Though it's a little bit cloudy because of the haze coming from Indonesia still we can see a nice view of the city. Here are some shots i took using my camera.

Today is friday the 13th after office I rushed in to Orchard just to go my favorite store iShop before i fetch my wife to her office that we do normally on weekends. The iShop here in Singapore is nice they have a cafe, accessories, training center and of course a friendly customer service. Hopefully one day i can go to San Francisco to visit there underground Apple store like i saw in the internet.

My wife and I plan to go to Philippines for a holiday to the Philippines since it is Hariraya Festival here this coming October 24, 2006. We gave up that oppurtunity to give way to our mothers to come and visit us here. And since I promised to my wife's sister to make up with my absence on her Debut party last July again she is also on my visitors list.

After the struggles on getting and renewing the passports finally i booked the plane ticket.

They will go by the the Jetstar Airlines not the usual budget airlines to let them experience the luxury of travel since it is their first time here.

Now our schedules are so tight to give them a tour. Good thing my boss allowed me for a 3 days straight leave. I think this is the longest time i will be having a leave since i started working.

Anyway i will just keep you guys posted for more happenings. "For all you care"..hehe
